Eh, I always thought Gold and Silver were the most overhyped.

Every generation brought in one huge change in battles, and strangely, the addition of Dark/Steel types was the smallest, in comparison to double battles [not that any competitive players even acknowledge it exists] in the third generation and the physical/special split in the fourth generation.

The Johto region was the most linear, #152-251 are filled with some of the worst Pokémon additions since... the originals? [I mean, I get to hear a lot from the non-Pokémon fans how unoriginal the new Pokémon are... for serious? Magnemite evolves into three Magnemites. And other such design lameitudes]. Like, there are various cool ones throw in, like Typhlosion, Feraligatr, Houndoom, Donphan, Tyranitar... but for the most part, if they weren't really cool, which there are few of, they were a very bland generation.

And everyone LOVED the addition of Kanto... a cut down, awfully reduced Kanto, where none of the Gym Leaders served as a threat after you beat the Elite Four, since they had you doing that 5 trainer in a row thing. And they were even an easy Elite Four because they felt the need to?

...The worst thing of all?

I'm super stoked for Heart Gold and Soul Silver. I'M A VICTIM OF LOVING THIS FRANCHISE.

I just can't wait to see the new stuff they throw in; I'm already a HUGE fan of the new female trainer design, as... Crystal was blarg [SEE I'VE GOT SO LITTLE GOOD THINGS TO SAY FOR GOLD AND SILVER AND EVEN CRYSTAL GOOD LORD PJ], and the new one is totally cute. Looks like Pokémon following you? Hell yeah Kecleon! And whatever dialogue changes they make [as they need to, since the timeline is different; in the original G/S, they were just discovering the new Pokémon, but in this new reality, it seems all the Pokémon previously existed, they just inhabit different regions, which makes more sense especially for future generations of Pokeymans].

I just remembered! You can go back into the kanto in these region games.

NOW I WANT IT EVEN MORE!!!!
