The Devon Scope worked by endless-whispers The Devon Scope worked by endless-whispers
A Pokémon-ish twist on the 'magic slider' card mechanism. Kecleon seemed to be a perfect match for this effect, although the tricky part was getting its red zigzag in place. Everybody who saw this card was amazed by the trick of a simple outline changing to a fully-coloured picture.

This card is a little plain, but was completed under 1.5 hours for a friend's birthday. If you're interested in making one for yourself, google 'magic slider cards' or try this site for a tutorial.

This is exactly what I need for my boyfriends birthday! Did you have to make the stamp yourself or did you just trace the image?

I drew the image on the white background, then traced the image on the transparent layer. I hope that info helps :)

Neat trick! Took me a while to figure how this worked. From my observation, there's two layers right? The lines and the colors are separated. The background goes between those two layers. :D

Yup, that's almost right. Actually, the lines are on both layers, just that the line on the transparent layer overlaps the other. You can see that the lines on the transparent layer cast a shadow at certain angles, which kinda gives the trick away :D
