Artist's Comments
These are the main characters you get to play in Diamond and Pearl...traditionally, their Japanese names would be Diamond and Pearl (duh).
The background is all snowy and stuff since Shinou is supposed to have snow (yay!) and the main characters do wear some snowy garb. Overall, I prefer the girl's design to the boy's...I dunno, but the boy's design is a little too generic for me. I'm still working on a lot of my flaws in drawing and colouring humans - the scarves look a little stiff, and so do the humans (in the original lineart, the boy's shirt looked as if it were dipped into starch)  .Off topic, but I hope they come up with an Ice/Steel legendary Pokemon...it may be disgustingly weak against Fire and Fighting, but just the idea itself sounds cool...
