Poliwag realised that it should have picked a different resting spot as it shares an awkard moment with the true owner of the lilypad...


Originally drawn as part of a banner for the PokéBeach website. Inspired by the TCG art for Poliwag (Neo Discovery) and Lotad (EX Crystal Guardians), both illustrated by Aya Kusube. I can't draw 3D backgrounds to save my life, so I referred to these helpful tutorials:

P.S. Don't follow the way I draw lilypads - they're totally wrong >.
EDIT: Changed the shading of the lilypads a bit to make them a little more 3 dimensional.

Now that's original! :D Great job here, though the water could use a splash or two or wavy raised surfaces to give it more of a flowing feel, more 3D
